Yes Peach I am a new women I am actually posing for a photo! Thought you'd like to see me all ready to go out on NYE. It is actually snowing here now so looks quite pretty. Dad is showing you the new digital frame that I got for Christmas. If you look carefully you will see some photos of you and Tommy on the wall when you were little. Well we'll update you on how NYE went tomorrow or Saturday. I am supposed to be writing my essay at some point, never seem to have enough time.

Squeak with extra bird protection!
I decided that we couldn't loose any more birds to this amazing hunter so got him some extra bells! He has a habit of twitching his nose and almost dribbling when a bird comes into the garden he gets so excited. Jiggy is not enjoying the outside life now it's cold she's very lazy and can be found sleeping most of the time. She still likes her head rubbed in the morning. So as you can see your babies are well and not really missing you as much as you perhaps miss them.
Wishing you a very happy, healthy and fun filled 2010
love you lots Sx

Finally got Dad out shopping!
Well what do you think? We've been to the sales Fatface jeans, Top Shop t-shirt and jumper from Debenhams. Dad was very patient and thinks I am dressing him up as a substitute for taking you shopping Liesh. Actually he didn't own any jeans until today and really needed to get a few new clothes to keep up with me! We had quite a laugh in Fatface as we shared a changing room! I ended up buying a lovely skirt, will put a picture on when I wear it perhaps for my birthday.

Do you know if you will still be there for new years? anyway everything is fine back here. I have included two photos of your little fluffy friends so you don't forget what they look like.

Mike's Update
Hi Peach,
Its Christmas eve here and I have got grandma over to help with the vegetable pealing, laying the table, cleaning the glasses and now ironing. Well she said she wanted to work didn't she.
She was singing just now as I read a few lines from a book I did in school called "To Kill a Mockingbird". Am re-reading it now with many a chuckle. Grandma was given a brief coffee break to look at your blog, but as she had left here glasses at home Tommy had to read it to her and let her look at the photos. She liked the panoramas of Kaikoura.
Sarah is quite relieved that you have found some family to be with as she was having trouble imagining you thoroughly enjoying Xmas on your own with Amo, two germans and a pet crayfish.
Granma says she is missing you as she finds it very quiet here now. To encourage you to liven things up she has given you a bottle of vodka.
Opa has booked for New Zealand and Australia in the new year. I think he plans to go early Feb straight to Christchurch [8 hour stopover in Singapore] and then fly back and see Leisje Nelson in Adelaide on the way home. Two day stopover in Singapore.] Wil is going too, and they settled on economy class with Singapore Airlines, finally. Just pray the health holds out long enough.
Well, better get Mitzi home, the pavements are even more slippery and icey than yesterday. Dare not send her on the bus. I skidded about 20 metres on ice near the city dump this morning . Very scary. We not hoping for a "white Christmas" anymore, more like a good warm thaw.
Missing you. Have a great day with all your new friends... especially Carl the crayfish. [Oh yes, don't eat off the plates as you take them back to the kitchen Liesh, it doesn't look good]
Love Dad

Homehappenings from 41
Well this is Tommy's Christmas present to you, a family blog. It will be an attempt to keep you in touch with what is going on at home. Actually we aim to make you feel so homesick over the coming months that you will want to come back. We thought we would start with a familiar photo in a festive snowy form. Can you see the cats footprints around the edge?
